Happy Humpday Purgators!
First dates can always be a little nerve-racking but let’s be honest, the thing we’re most nervous about is finding the perfect outfit. #NarcissisticForTheWin.
Here are a few quick outfit guides to get you through whatever date your potential lover throws at you.
Breakfast: This category entails dates such as breakfast, coffee, brunch — anything before noon. In the event of this type of date, casual and flawless (think “I Woke Up Like This”by Beyonce) is your best bet. We suggest choosing pieces like jeans, sweaters, maybe even a floppy hat if you dare. This is not the time to go glamazon with heavy hair and makeup — less is more.
Lunch: This includes meeting up for afternoon coffee, late brunch, or as the category suggests, lunch. If this is a midweek date and you’re meeting up on your lunch break obviously your work attire is appropriate, no need to change. If the date is a Saturday afternoon type of thing, feel free to elevate your breakfast outfit. Incorporate a cute blazer or some heel ankle boots to add a subtle hint of sex appeal.
Dinner: If you scored a dinner date *slow clap* good for you! Feel free to pull out all the stops. Nothing is too much or too far, grad dress- perfect, wedding dress- even better. Okay, we’re kidding, don’t wear a wedding dress to a dinner date but this is the time to step it up a notch. Go a little more glam with your hair and makeup, choose an outfit that will really wow him (or her). We tend to pick out cute mini skirts, form fitting dresses or sexy leather pants for our dinner dates (which sometimes can be few and far between).
