Midweek Hustle: Does Bio(Chemistry) Work?

Happy Humpday Purgators!

First and foremost, we had the pleasure of being on Tao of Indifference podcast last week. You can listen to it here, it’s a good a one (if we do say so ourselves).

Second, if you don’t follow us on Twitter you should probably do that right away!

A couple weeks ago when The Brunette should have been working she tweeted out a question that got both us and our followers thinking — what do you write in your Tinder (or other online dating profiles for that matter) bio?

We both have a different views on this. The Brunette although at first never had anything in her profile, decided she needed to spice it up as you do when you’ve been in the online dating game for over a year.

I (The Blonde) on the other hand, have never and most likely will never put anything in my bio, mostly because I don’t care enough but also because I never look at guys bios so I just assume they’re not looking at mine either.

Neither one of us think there is a right and wrong way to go about filling in your online dating bio, however we’ve both noticed that oftentimes women tend to comment on content in a mans bio whereas men usually strike up conversation based on photo’s.

This was something interesting for us to recognize since men are generally physical and women are more emotional.

Based on these observances we both think it is in men’s best interest to add something to their online dating bio.

We would like to throw this back to our readers, are you more like The Brunette and actually read the bios or do you relate more to The Blonde and skip over that part altogether? Let us know in the comment section below or send us a tweet, we’re curios to know what other online daters do!

xoxo

I have never struck up conversation based on photos unless there was something interesting about them. If a girl has nothing in her bio, I’m at a loss for things to say, and if I have nothing to say to someone, I usually don’t say anything at all.
